This July, Glacier Park International Airport will be completing an important runway improvement project designed to extend the runway’s life and keep travel in the Flathead Valley safe and reliable for years to come.
During the project, the airport’s main runway will have temporary weekday closures, with flights returning each weekend.
July 2026 Runway Closure Schedule
The main runway will be closed Monday at 6:00 p.m. through Friday at 10:00 a.m. on the following dates:
- July 6–10
- July 13–17
- July 20–24
- July 27–31
To make weekend travel easy, flights will operate Friday through Monday each week. Construction crews will work around the clock during weekday closures to keep the project moving along.
